Senior Accountant
Melissa has been working in the accounting industry since 2013 and started Accounting North with her husband, Michael, in January 2022. She has enjoyed an interesting and varied career including controllership positions, college teaching of accounting, and entrepreneurial consulting.
Currently, as senior accountant at Accounting North, she assists clients with year end financials, overall and periodic financial review, consulting with large projects, onboarding of new accounts, and day to day questions. Her experience allows her to provide clients with knowledgeable solutions and recommendations.
She thrives by helping others solve problems that seem unsolvable and is enthusiastic about empowering business owners to feel peaceful and secure doing what they do best.
Michael Hinsperger
Accounting Consultant
Michael is a bookkeeper, accounting consultant and QuickBooks ProAdvisor. Before entering the accounting field, Mike spent a decade working in manufacturing as a Material Resource Planner, where he worked extensively in inventory control and operations management. It was during these years that he developed a keen appreciation for data and the power it has to inform all aspects of operations. Mike has taken those insights and applied them to the world of accounting by exploring new ways that the financial data of a business can help owners and operators run their operation.
Mike is enthusiastic about solving clients’ problems. He is attentive to detail and always looking for ways to improve systems and procedures for greater efficiency and ease.
